Biography

Los Angeles-based William Aman, professionally known as DJ WLF, has been the producer behind Passport Approved for the past six years. His passion for music, and knowledge of production has been a key part of the success and impact of the show around the globe. His understanding of music and culture creates a seamless soundscape with Passport Approved’s ability to connect with audiences on six continents and over 50 radio stations worldwide.

Outside of his work on the radio show, DJ WLF is a regular fixture on Southern California’s club circuit, where he has been attracting audiences with his dynamic mixes spanning funk, soul, disco, hip-hop, indie, and electronic music – keeping the dance floors lively and the energy levels high.

DJ WLF’s journey began in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he developed his mixing techniques and expanded his knowledge of underground music. He further honed his craft at the renowned Icon Collective in Burbank, where he received formal training in both technical and creative aspects of DJing and music production. 

Since moving to the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area in 2019, DJ WLF has made notable advances in the city’s music scene. He has performed at esteemed venues such as Grandmaster Recorders in Hollywood, Skybar at Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood, The Liberties of Dublin in Downtown Los Angeles, as well as at the annual global music business event MUSEXPO, which takes place in Burbank, and draws some of the biggest names in the worldwide music and media business. In addition, he has partnered with Cambria and Marriott Hotels for weekly DJ events to drive local engagement.

Whether he’s producing Passport Approved, spinning at an intimate corporate gathering, or at a buzzing bar on a Friday night, DJ WLF distinguishes himself through his commitment to creating unforgettable experiences on the radio, dance floors and beyond.
