Joe Arnold is a seasoned music and marketing executive with over two decades of experience shaping the careers of artists and building global brands. His journey began in radio, where he worked as an on-air personality, Assistant Program Director, and Music Director at WJET-FM in Erie, PA and WKST 96.1 Kiss FM in Pittsburgh, PA, as well as hosting numerous college radio mix shows. An early champion of breakthrough acts, Joe helped bring artists like Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals (“Steal My Kisses”) and Nine Days (“Absolutely (Story of a Girl)”) early to radio audiences.
Beyond the mic, Joe served as Top 40 Editor at Network 40 Magazine, collaborating with radio stations and record companies to forecast hits and guide programming strategies. He also gained hands-on label experience as an intern at Tommy Boy Records, where he worked on strategies for landmark releases from De La Soul (Stakes Is High), Coolio (Gangsta’s Paradise), and Naughty By Nature (Poverty’s Paradise), along with the Jock Jams, Jock Rock, and MTV Party to Go compilations.
Joe’s early foundation also included time in music retail as Assistant Store Manager at National Record Mart, where he oversaw daily operations, sales goals, and staff development in a bustling record store environment. These formative experiences in radio, records, and retail gave him a 360-degree view of the industry that continues to inform his work today.
